How the Safety Index is scored
One number, out of 10, built from five things we can verify. Commission is not one of them.
Which regulator, whether the licence is on the public register this week, and whether players have an independent dispute route (ADR, regulator unit).
Our lawyers read every T&C version. Max cashout on deposits, dormancy fees, "irregular play" clauses and bonus max-bet rules are scored line by line.
Cases filed through our complaint centre, weighted by amount and by whether the operator engaged. Unresolved cases where the player was right count heaviest.
Our own test withdrawals, at least four per quarter, across the casino's main payment methods.
Share of checked slots running the provider's full RTP setting. Reduced settings are not illegal, but they are rarely disclosed.
What the bands mean
8.5–10 Verified licence with a dispute route, fair terms, complaints resolved. We would play here with our own money. 7.0–8.4 Licensed and generally fair, with one weak area, usually payout speed or a reduced-RTP policy. Below 7 At least one serious issue: unresolved complaints, predatory terms or a licence we could not verify. Listed for information; no affiliate link.
What does not affect the score
Commission rate, whether a casino works with us at all, bonus size, game count, or design. A casino that stops paying us keeps its score.
How operators dispute a score
Operators can claim their profile, see the evidence for each component and submit corrections. Every change to a score is logged publicly on the casino's page with the date and the reason.
Data refresh
Licences weekly, terms on every version change (we diff them), complaints continuously, payouts at least quarterly, RTP monthly.
